Lome, 28 September 2017 – His Excellency Mr. Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, gives audience to the Director General of the West Africa Health Organisation (WAHO), Dr Xavier CRESPIN.
The DG of WAHO gave an overview of the regional health situation, the major achievements and interventions since the beginning 2017, the current challenges in the implementation of some interventions and the way forward for 2018.
This meeting takes place 24 hours after the meeting of WAHO’s programmes committee at which WAHO and ECOWAS member countries reviewed their achievements for the year 2017 and examined the priority activities for the next financial year, 2018.
It is worth recalling that H.E. Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE is the current President of the ECOWAS conference of Heads of State and Government.
