At the end of his stay in Bamako, where he participated in various WAHO activities and met many personalities and partners, the Director General of WAHO held discussions with the Minister of health and public hygiene of Mali.
The discussions between the two personalities focused on issues of common interest, particularly on the outcome of the DG/WAHO’s stay in the malian capital and the study of some dossiers relating to the proper implementation of interventions of the Institution in Mali.
The Director General outlined the activities of the projects of which Mali is a beneficiary, and indicated the progress made and the challenges faced in implementing the various on-going interventions.
By consensus, the Minister of health and public hygiene of Mali and the Director General agreed to consult each other regularly on the proper rollout of the activities under the various projects so as to guarantee the expected success.
The discussions between Dr Xavier CRESPIN and Professor Ousmane Samba SOW took place in an atmosphere of understanding and collegiality in the presence of the Executive Assistant to the Director General, the WAHO Focal Point in Mali and the Chief Director of the Ministry of health and public hygiene of Mali.
