Praia, Cabo Verde, October 4, 2024 - The Regional Steering Committee, chaired by the Director General of WAHO, Dr. Melchior Athanase J.C. AÏSSI, after adopting the report of the meeting of technical experts on the organization, management of the program and the annual budgeted action plans of the three beneficiary countries of the initial phase, made recommendations to all stakeholders for the implementation of the project activities and stressed the importance of accelerating the accession process for the beneficiary countries of the next phase.
The Director General of WAHO also thanked the members of the technical committee for their work and expressed his deep gratitude to the World Bank Group for their continued cooperation with WAHO and the ECOWAS member countries. He concluded by thanking the Ministers of Health of Cabo Verde, Guinea and Liberia for their continued support to WAHO, as well as all those who contributed to the organization of this meeting.
