The West African Health Organisation (WAHO) in its budget for fiscal year 2018 has earmarked some funds to support the various ECOWAS Member States’ health systems, and intends to use part of the funds to make payments under the following contract: Hiring of a firm to conduct the mid-term evaluation of WAHO’s third Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020.
The main objective is to conduct a mid-term evaluation of the results highlighting the level of implementation of the third strategic plan and to make recommendations for the implementation of WAHO's new vision on regional priorities (maternal, child and adolescent health; centres of excellence and quality standards; drugs and vaccines; prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases; and health information) and key expected regional results in terms of : i) capacity building, including youth development; ii) strengthening regional networks and iii) sustainability of all interventions with high population impact.
